Trip to Sulina – the furthest eastern point of Romania, that has access to the Black Sea

You have the possibility to reach the furthest eastern point of Romania- Sulina, to visit the river mouth of the Danube, the place where the Danube empties into the Black Sea and if you are lucky enough you can enjoy the delphins’ show that takes place near the watercrafts.
When we go out on the sea, you will get the “Confirmation certificate”, the one that confirms your presence at the furthest eastern point of Romania. If the weather is nice, we will go looking for the delphins in the Black Sea and after we visit the stranded ship we will head for the town.

Sulina – The old Porto Franco, the old town of the mariners, adventurers, pirates, workers that were paid in gold and of the promiscuity, but also the first town on the continent that speaks about the concept of the United Europe.

Here you can visit the Danube’s river mouths, where the Danube empties into the Black Sea, the three lighthouses, that were built in less than a century, the proof itself that the land steps forward into the sea: the town’s seafront- this is a promenade place that has a special perfume. Besides, you can visit the Palace of the European Comission of the Danube, the Delta’s cathedral, which is a one-to-one-copy of the church situated nearby the Danube’s Springs from the Black Forest in Germany and that was built in the presence of king’s Carol I. You can also visit the greek church built in 1868, which is dedicated to St. Nicolae, where you can see the icon of Virgin Mary with Her face covered, icon that is unique in Europe. You cannot leave Sulina without sunbathing on the beach with the smoothest sand on the Romanian seaside and without taking a swim in the Black Sea.
